My Story
I spent years leading a disability employment services organization, helping people with disabilities navigate workplace challenges and build meaningful careers. Through that work, I saw firsthand how often healthcare barriers stood in the way of people's broader life goals.
As someone who lives with a disability myself, I've experienced the healthcare system from the inside. I know what it's like to feel dismissed, confused, and overwhelmed by a system that should be helping you heal.
My PhD in Organizational Leadership gave me the tools to understand how complex systems work and how to navigate them effectively. I realized I could combine my academic expertise, professional experience, and personal understanding to help others.
Today, I serve as a patient advocate because I believe everyone deserves a knowledgeable, caring ally in their healthcare journey, someone who will fight for their needs and help them feel empowered rather than overwhelmed.
